its based on the tire manufacture, and it should be stamped on the tire.

your answer is on the tire it's self it will tell you the recommended tire pressure for that tire make and brand you may not have the same make and brand that came with the car so the tire company would put on what would be a factory comparison it will also tell you max pressure for temp and weight load
