I'm 14, my relationship with my parents is kinda bad. It's been like that for a year. They showed they don't like me, they don't worry about my happiness. So, I don't get along with them and avoid talking. But I have a teacher who understands me and helps me when I'm down. She supported me in my bad moments, was my confident, now she's a real substitute for my mom. As for my dad, I never talk with him about my feelings, he's not part of my emotional life, I don't get along with him and don't need him except, of course, for material support, since I'm 14. Actually, I do my best not to be around him.
Today I can say I like that teacher much more than my parents. Is this OK? Should I tell this to my parents?

I think it's perfectly fine that you love someone more than your parents. You don't get to "select" you parents or any family members for that matter. Being born into a family doesn't necessarily mean that you will like them.

At least you have a place where your emotional needs are met. Be grateful for that. I would think you parents would be glad that you have an adult in your life to look up to...someone to share your thoughts with. I don't think I would tell them, "Mom, Dad, I love this teacher more than I love you." But I don't think it would be any big deal to tell them you have a teacher that you are really comfortable with and you really admire that person.

Sounds like u just need to set down and talk to them about your emotional needs. It might be hard but you can clear up alot of things by talking! NOT ARGUEING! Your parents brought u into this world there should be no other that u love more and be greatful for all of the things they have done for u. Noone is perfect and maybe they dont realize how they are acting towards u. Maybe they think its u trying to rebel against them and they dont know how to approach you to let you know they still care. Friends come and go but family is forever!!

Wow, I thought I was reading about my childhood for a minute there! I am now 39 and from what I read, sounds like your life is alot like my childhood was. My parents have never showed love to me, at least the way I wanted them to. Some people just don't know how to express themselves in that area. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY DO NOT LOVE YOU. (not yelling, just stressing my point) I never talked to my parents about it, I just allowed myself to grow up thinking I was unwanted and unloved. I had a difficult life because of it. You really, really need to let them know how you feel. If you feel uncomfortable "talking" to them about it, then write them a letter, but you need to let them know. Do not tell them about your teacher. Keep the topic of conversation between you and your parents. I know you hurt because of this, remember there are people that do love you. People are always going to let you down, simply because they are human. The only one that is always true to his word, and loves you more than anything is God. He will never let you down.

Seems like you've got a real problem on your hands, and it shouldn't be kept a secret to your family. you should go to your mom and dad, and demand them to sit down and listen to what you got to say. Tell them how you feel, and tell them that all you've been longing for is some "mom, dad, and me time" try even suggesting counseling. Hope every thing goes well, and don't wait until it's too late, because you need your family and they need you.

We all go thru stages in our lives when we are closer to some people than others. The one thing you can depend on is change. Do not worry... I guarantee in a year or two you may have new people you love, and some you hardly see. It is always changing...

sounds like a "typical teenager".
have your friendship, don't tell your parents you love someone else more, try to communicate more with your parents and realize they may not be plugged into your little world, but they do care and love you.
