You could purchase leads that would correspond to your client demographic. Such as female, pre-screened phone leads.
I would try this link to OppSeekers business leads.

Hi Amber, Internet marketing is an ongoing education that can be mastered with time and effort. There are several avenues you can take with your online business. I highly suggest to try and think "outside the box". In other words, if you do what eveybody else does, you're going to get lost or invisible in the marketing shuffle, but if you think slightly abstract, there's a very good chance that you might get a bit more exposure. So #1 rule of thumb with any online business is to promote it "offline". I know that sounds contradictary, but you will actually get good targeted leads by working an offline advertising campaign. Maybe start with some business cards that you can share with all of your daily contacts. While we're on the subject of leads, leads are the primary bloodline to any business, so I highly suggest signing up to a free lead generating system. http://www.UncleLarry.veretekk.com is a great start to begin learning how to market your products. That site has FREE live training, Free traffic portals for you to start submitting and marketing your site to. Stay with the Free stuff until you've exhausted all of your Free possibilities, than and only than should you consider paying for your advertising. Another great avenue to consider is writing press releases and blogs. Top search engine positioning is vital to thousands of leads every day. These results won't happen overnight as others might have you believe, but I know from experience that if you stay persistent and don't quit, you will receive your due rewards. If there's anything I can personally help you with in your business, don't hesitate to ask. I can be reached via instant message. Good luck with your new venture. UncleLarry@veretekk.com

My opinioun would be to make sure you are fully branded and use that as leverage to promote your boutique. If you look at many boutiques in NYC they tend to be well branded that way they serve a select demographic. This helps establishing a look that they can use and also it will help to tell them where they need to spend there money in advertising. Know your customer, service and products!!! Then look at where those people go and try and buy ad space in those areas. Maybe hiring a professional will lend the best results

Amber - there are some things you can do to get the word out about your online boutique.
These are all free and will deliver visitors to your site within a few days.
1. Write a press release about your boutique and submit it to http://www.prweb.com
2. Place a free classified ad or more on the 1000's of ad sites available. Many of the sites will let you place up to 5 ads on their site. Do that to 10 sites and that's 50 visitors a day to your website.

3. Write an article that contains keywords associated with your business and submit it to http://www.ezinearticles.com
Good luck & press on to Success!

Affiliate program. Browse through some similar sites then put your website links on theirs, This way you will get more traffic and best of all most of them are free. Once they purchase something from your site then you pay the advertiser. This process could go vise versa.
i hope it gives you an idea to make it cheaper advertising online.
Good Luck.

Try going to your local stores and post up fancy ads for them! (with pictures and pretty paper) I did that, it works!
Also post it here, I'm already going to your website :)
