how do you get wood stain out of paint brushes?

ummm ok were staining wood and we cant get it out of the paintbrushes we used and suggestions?

I'm pretty sure the only way is turpentine. You might have to leave the brushes soaking in it for a while, which is tricky because turpentine evaporates quickly. You can buy it in Hardware stores.
Check what the side of the can of wood stain says, just to be sure.

Paint thinner or Varsol is best. You will have to clean the brush and spin it several times before all stain is removed, use a metal can like a coffee can or tomato juice can. To spin the brush, put the handle between the palms of your hands (bristles facing DOWN) and rub back and forth like you are starting a fire with 2 sticks. Doing this fast spins out the thinner and excess stain. Do this several times. It works wonders for keeping your brushes tip top for the next job.
Also if you will be staining with the brushes over a period of several days, you can store the brushes in plastic bags in the freezer, removing half hour or so before starting the job again.

Hi, If the stain still wet get some thinner and a rag and clean all the stain off let the paint dry the next step is you gonna have to find a better way to put the stain so it match the original stain that is on the table you can use a brush or a peace of rag..

With the cost of paint brushes today, I would suggest just tossing them out and buying new ones. A lot cheaper than buying cleaners for them.

you coud use a paint thinner or gas but be very carefull
and in some cases you can try terpentine

turpentine,gasoline,kerosene. Read the label see if any of these things are in the stain, if so, use it.
