OK, this might be a long one. I have a new Mac and overall am happy with it. I bought Parallels to avoid having to replace Adobe Photoshop and it is up and running. Using shared folders, images from the net that I have downloaded will open in Photoshop no problem. However images of my own that I scan onto my Mac will not open in Parallels. Both examples are JPEG's on the Mac but the scanned images are not JPEG's when I open the folder in Parallels. I have used this scanner on my PC for years, and it works fine on my Mac except for this one problem. Thanx for any help.

I take it from your description that you're doing the actual scanning and saving of images on the Mac side. Have you tried using the scanner under Windows, and then copying files to OS X as needed? Also, look around in Parallels' support forum if they have one (I have a PPC lappy so I don't use Parallels yet), and post about your problem if you can't find anything about it.
