Does he let little girls get Raped? or young children be born with Diseases that let them live just long enough to realize what life is all about, then they die a horribly painfull death? Yet I hear Christians everyday say that God helped me drive through the snowstorm....or God was with me at my job interview and he blessed me with a job....so why does he bless you but he lets horrible things happen to innocent people. I have heard its to teach us lessons about life...but what lesson could an 8 year old with terminal cancer need to learn.

Hey livin in the faith or whatever your name is..it clearly states in the bible that No child shall suffer for the sins of thier father. There is no god..these things happen because of human nature.

GOD doesn't cause suffering. With regard to suffering (including being raped) or causing suffering (like being a rapist), generally, that's because of who & what we humans are. Yes, we have free will (it's how we were created!), however, that means that, far too often, we're free to choose to do evil. On the flip side (and the side I prefer, anyway!), we are free to choose to do good (including helping the girl or woman who was raped, to continue with the example you provided). We are free to choose to get her to the hospital, call 9-1-1 for the police & EMS. With regard to getting the job, you probably were blessed. Sometimes, suffering is to teach us valuable life lessons, though, often it's because of our poor choices. With regard to the 8 year old with terminal cancer, sometimes our bodies just don't work right!

The one that did the raping... should he not have free will? If you take it away then we are robots aren't we? Some people think God can do anything but even He is constrained by the principals of the universe He designed. I understand the frustration though. It's a bit like the US constitution giving Americans free speech and then watching them endure the American flag being burnt in America.

First, you need to explain who you are and why you are here, then you will understand why certain things happen. I will summarize it for you:
We, humans, are the result of an experiment. Divine creatures from the Universe saw little things that moved in this planet, and they decided to give us a bit of their divine energy. The result of that is what we know as humans: you, me and everyone else.
The experiment has failed, they believe so, well... you just need to check the news from time to time to realise that. We have animal nature as well as divinity. Love, kindness, are that side we all have that belongs to divinity, its our spiritual side. Hate, anger, is our terrenal side, what we originally were: simple animals. Heaven tries to stop certain things, but the reason why everything is so ****** up is because we still decide to be animals. The fault doesnt rely on one or two people, its all of us. Everynight, analyze your actions and think about what you, as a divine entity, did, against what were you animal behaviours. When you identify the bipolarity, you will start to learn to control it. The understanding and control of it, will bring you peace, harmony. Life is just an experiment, when your body dies down here, you, as an individual, will go back to heaven, to them, to the creators, the masters. Everyome will go back, even bad people, they will have to explain why they did certain things. Some people in this world have diseases, like cancers, the earth is constantly being bombarded with little creatures that come from other worlds, viruses, etc. The masters, up in heaven, arent happy with this experiment, thats why they allow these other creatures to come here. They are not interested in what happens to humanity itself, they are here waiting to pick up all their energy back and take it to their own worlds.

God indicates to us that he cant always take away the pain, but he will walk with us throug it. My 5 year falls and scrapes her knee on the cement , she is crying i cant take away the pain, but i will be there through it. God does not approve of these things to happen, but he gave a free will and sorry to say everyone out here dont make the choice to do the right things. It's as simple as that.

I asked God this same question.
Why?
It really isn't our place to do that but God still loves you.
I hope that you can come to terms with this.
God loves you.
Why do bad things happen?
They have to.
I had a niece born with one lung who died sixteen days after she was born. She never took a breath on her own. She never cried.
I thought, how unfair of God to do that!
I was very upset with God.
I spent years asking Him why..........why God, why?
Why is life unfair?
I came to the conclusion that He is God, He loves us, and the baby is now in a better place. God uses people and things to bring others closer to Him.
God also gave us freewill.
This, in turn, allows people to make bad choices.
The best part is that God is always there and He loves you.

I pray you will come to terms with this very serious issue and that you will realize how much God loves you.

Peace.

You make a valid point.
We should be super cautious in saying God helped us.
Actually, the terrible things that happen are due to Satan, not God.
1 John 5:19 says Satan is ruling this world.
Blame him.

God gave each person free will. sometimes we are victims of other peoples sin... sometimes we have a greater calling than any of us can comprehend... having a parent that died from a 'horrible disease' helped me realize that the pain dad went thru wasnt about 'me' and the hurt i endured during his death, but it was about God and my dad... and it also helped me to learn about relying more on God for comfort than earthly people

Good question. This should get some really good answers from the bible huggers out there. Some will say god gave free will, others will say he has a plan (my favorite by the way). I can't wait to see the answers.
