In Luke's gospel he does.
"And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
But Jesus answering, said: Suffer ye thus far. And when he had touched his ear, he healed him." ~ Luke 22:50-1

He did. There were different approaches by the writers. Luke 22:47-53, John 18:3-12, Matthew 26:47-52, Mark 14:43-52
--------
Only Luke, tells us that Jesus “touched the ear and healed him.” (Luke 22:51) But is that not what we would expect from the writer who was known as “the beloved physician”? (Colossians 4:14)
John’s account tells us that of all the disciples present, the one who wielded the sword was Peter—a fact that is not surprising in view of Peter’s tendency to be rash and impetuous. (John 18:10; compare Matthew 16:22, 23 and John 21:7, 8.) John reports another seemingly unnecessary detail: “The name of the slave was Malchus.” Why does John alone give the man’s name? The explanation is provided by a minor fact stated in passing only in John’s account—John “was known to the high priest.” He was also known to the high priest’s household; the servants were acquainted with him, and he with them. (John 18:10, 15, 16) It is only natural, then, that John should mention the injured man’s name, whereas the other Gospel writers, to whom the man evidently was a stranger, do not.

Jesus did put Malchus' ear back on.
Luk 22:50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Luk 22:51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
What has always amazed me is that, after these guys had been knocked on their behinds by just a word from Jesus, and then the thing with Malchus' ear, they STILL went on with the arrest.
If it had been me, I'm sure I would have been terrified out of my mind...I'd probably have to go home and change my underwear.

He reported and did more beneficial than that. The account is in John financial ruin 18, the position Jesus and the disciples are interior the backyard of Gethsemane, late at evening. No street lighting fixtures, save in options. only a crowd of squaddies and detrimental religionists with guns rushing in, hand-held torches casting lengthy, jerky shadows, out to capture Jesus. at the same time as Judas referred to Jesus with a kiss, and Jesus reported "i'm he", this rabble drew decrease back and fell to the floor. Jesus then reported "if you're searching for me, then enable those adult males bypass". This befell so as that the words he had spoken will be fulfilled: 'I have not lost actual a kind of you gave me' (in John 17, at the same time as praying to the daddy.) The account keeps: "Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the severe priest's servant, slicing off his good ear. The servant's call replaced into Malchus. Jesus commanded Peter, "positioned your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the daddy has given me?" because the account with the help of Matthew (ch. 26) provides you, "All who draw the sword will die with the help of the sword. Do you imagine i won't be able to call on my Father, and he will immediately positioned at my disposal more beneficial than twelve legions of angels? yet how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it ought to take position in this kind? Am I most popular a insurrection, that you've come out with swords and golf equipment to capture me? daily I sat interior the temple courts training, and also you probably did not arrest me. yet this has all taken position that the writings of the prophets may be fulfilled." In Luke ch. 23 we also study that Jesus then miraculously healed the detrimental servant's ear, restoring it. Jesus held decrease back from doing a large number of issues that we'd imagine he must have performed. He waited some days after listening to that his expensive chum, Lazarus replaced into dangerously sick, not likely to the residing house until eventually he were useless 4 days. no one ought to understand why he had not come at present, for then Lazarus does not have died. Jesus held decrease back to carry more beneficial glory to God with the help of resurrecting Lazarus. because the Jews believed the soul departs a useless body with the help of three days, waiting until eventually day 4 replaced into important. Jesus' timing is proper, be guaranteed.

If you were familiar with all four gospels (or for that matter, had even sat through the "Passion of the Christ"), you would in fact realize that he in fact passes your test for him.
For this is exactly what he did do.
