I think once people reach the age of consent, their lives are up to them to live. Whatever judgements onlookers might make is just adding drama to their own lives. Obviously, dating someone under 18 is objectionable, but at 21, I don't see anyone being a victim.

as a woman here, 16 is not right only because they are not an adult and have not lived life enough for that older man. 21 is fine only because they are an adult then and pretty much can do what they want. Now how would you feel about a 40 year old woman dating a 21 year old guy?

I think it's fine-as long as it's the 21 year old for maturity reasons. However, it depends how mature the 16 year old is. Personally I only seem attracted to older men, can't help it. I'm 25, my last guy was 46, we saw each other for 2 years and it was not a problem. If there is a problem it's usually down to society's preconceptions about the 'rules' for dating. The main thing is being happy. And hey, I can't complain, my best mate is gay and he's finding it hard enough to accept himself without people and society judging him. Yet that's the life he leads and society should get over it!!

I am a believer of "age is nothing but a number" but there is a huge line that is possible to be crossed and some relationships like that gross me out but I figure that it's none of my business so why worry about it? As for a 40 year old with a 16 year old, That's just illegal so I don't agree with it at least until a few years go by.

I think it's OK as long as it's legal obviously. Personally I like dating girls of all ages but I find women in their early 30s are the best - they still have great bodies, usually are experienced and have fewer inhibitions in the bedroom, and have enough experience of the world to be interesting outside the bedroom. For a one night stand 20 year olds are the best

not right but then it depends wot the age extremes they are. for a 21 year old to date a 40 year old guy then thats up to them but a 16 year old girl to date a 40 year old doesn`t seem right to me. she`s still maturing

I am with a 43yr old guy and i was 17 when i met him. We have been together for two years and we love each other. He is very mature but still has in youth around and inside him. My family have not spoken to me since but i am now realising how things have become, he seems to be more like a father figure then a boyfriend. I have only just realised this though.

I don't see anything wrong with dating younger women. I am 56 and have dated 22 year old women.

Well, under 17 is illegal, and very sick. Age is just a number after they're adults . . but I personally would never date a guy that much older than I am and I refuse to date guys that are that young.
