Your car uses G12 coolant which is PINK
It's long-life coolant so you should not even need to buy any or replace it unless there is a problem of some kind.
Do NOT use the older type of green coolant. Your cars cooling systems is not designed to use it and it will cause you expensive repairs and issues if you put any of that in there.
What you want is called G-12 and it is pink to pinkish-orange.

like the guy above me said, newer vw's use g12 coolant, which is pink. don't use anything else in it. definitely don't mix any other kind of coolant with it because very bad things will happen. the bad thing about g12 is that you can pretty much only find it at the dealer and its not very cheap.

that is one of the many questions about g12 you can find on vwvortex. if you ever have any vw related questions, just go to www.vwvortex.com. there's even a section just for new beetles.
