Designer name - translated word by word - it would not be used that way by a native speaker.

entwerfen = to design
but even the Germans call the guy that 'entwirft' a Designer and not an Entwerfer.

In the German language you can turn any verb into a noun to represent the 'doer' - however, often times it is not done. Basically, while everybody will understand what you are trying to say, it still would not be considered good use of the language
