Well, my brother whom I've not seen in years just arrived today and I was very glad to see him again. Although, he seems to talk more to my other brother than me. It's like as if he's treating me like I was invisible. Usually he just says a sentence or two to me and then he and my brother start talking for ages. They are both 20 + years old and so they probably talk alot since they have alot in common. At this moment, he and my brother are at a pub while I'm at home alone. Tommorow, they will go out together and do some shopping. As I'm only 13 years old, it hurts to see my brother just forget about me like that. He'll only be here for the holidays and he's already starting to forget about me. I feel so sad and maybe jealous. I've not seen him for over 10 years and I was so excited to see him today but now my hope is crushed. What should I do? I don't want to pester him and seem annoying. Help!

I'm guessing you are his sister? That is probably why.

Are your parents around? If they are make sure they do a family thing so you and your bro can talk.

If not, talk to your brother that you do see often about how neglected you are feeling.

Its probably not on purpose.

Good luck!

The age difference is the problem. Your two older brothers are on a different level of maturity than you are. It's only natural. You don't need to worry about it as much as you are. Find a friend close to your age and conversate with him. Just enjoy the conversations you have with your older brothers as infrequent as they might be. If you make a big deal out of it, you'll find that they will not appreciate the added stress of your complaints.

Try talking to your mom or dad about it. They might lend a hand or come up with a family outing that all of you can participate in. Do you have an X-BOX? Madden 2007 is a great way to spend time with them. Practice up so you can stomp them in a competitive game. They'll want to play more with you if you beat thier buts in a game like that.

well, i can understand how you feel... try talking to this brother of yours when it's only the two of you... if he still seems unwanting to talk to you, maybe you can ask him (gently) why it seems that he doesn't want to talk to you... you can even ask your other brother for some help since they're both your brothers... maybe this 2nd brother of yours just thinks you're too young to engage a conversation with... so prove him wrong...

You should talk with him and express how you feel. He may not know that he's avoiding you. Talk with him.
