Critics often ask why Christianity is any better than any other religion in the world. After all, of all the religions that exist how can it be that only Christianity is true? If God exists, why can't God use different religions? Don't all paths lead to God? These kinds of questions are asked all the time of Christians and unfortunately the answers aren't always very good ones particularly when dealing with people who have a relativistic truth base and don't believe in absolutes.
If truth is relative, then the statement that truth is relative is an absolute truth and would be self defeating statement by proving that truth is not relative. But, if truth is absolute, then the statement "truth is absolute" is true and not self defeating. It is true that truth exists. However, not all that is believed to be true actually is true. Therefore, all belief systems cannot be true since they often contradict each other in profound ways.

We choose to believe in Christianity after analyzing other religious beliefs and finding that Christianity meets more of what is plausible and believable by faith in our Lord Jesus.Others are free to journey and to seek.The Bible says that not all will get to Heaven but as to your question itself, Why..why not>It has been proven logical and offers reward after this life.

What a challenging question that captured my long rest in thinking about religion. Why do critics wondered why Christianity is far better than any other religion? What could I say is perhaps those critics who asked such question had no clear information that the founder of that religion is no other than Jesus Christ himself. I am not undermining other religions since no single human being can be saved by religion itself. It is by accepting Jesus Christ as his or her personal savior through faith alone. Jesus Christ is the founder of Christianity. He's the only founder among other religions who rose again from the dead. The other founders of so-called "other religions", died and remained in their respective tombs or graves. So, no matter how sincere they adhere to the teachings and beliefs of a particular religious group, but there is no truth in its entirety, then that is a total lie. I do not embrace the teaching that says, "it doesn't matter what you believe as long as you are sincere." It does matter to me. Just like what you said, "that not all that is believed to be true are acturally true." That is why, it's foolishness in the part of the humans, since humans were created with volition, more so, the only creation of God granted wisdom by Himself, if they are believing on something that they do not know.
If everyone come to the point of knowing the truth, the absolute truth - which is Jesus Christ, that's the only time that a person will fully comprehend why Christianity is taken by others as "far better off than any other religions of the world."

I agree that no one religion holds the moral truth. its not a monopoly. i dont understand why all the monotheistic religions cant be right in some way, and wrong in others. nobody in this world ever has or ever will know all of God's truth. no matter how much faith you put into it, you still wont know everything. so i think its obsurb for people to say that their religion is correct and everybody elses is wrong.
i grew up in a southern baptist state where many people here feel that basically they are the only ones going to heaven. not the muslims, not the Jews (even though they are God's chosen ones,) and not even Catholics because they do not have a direct relationship with God or Jesus (so they believe.) it also seems mighty unfair that most of the world's population is not Christian, so they will all burn in hell. i dont understand that.

Agreed - not all can be true. The most glaring difference between Christianity and all other religions is that God does all the work for our salvation - He reaches down to mankind. All other religions are man's quest to reach God, by being good, or praying 5 times a day, or attaining Nirvana by becoming a better and better person ...

It is not about the R word......It is plainly about G-d, Yeshua (salvation), and having a relationship with Him! Being a TRUE believer......not a false one, or to pretend to be a believer, a hippocrit. There are so many of these today it is sad. There is only 1 truth and I am afraid the church has lost it along the way throughout history. One very simple thought......Yeshua, the messiah was and is a JEW, so lets put Him 1st again and forget the pagan holidays. When the Lord returns, we shall see who cries to Him that day!

Funny, because I often think of the same thing, but I dont believe in institutionalized religions. It really has to do with faith and if one believes in truth (whatever you believe to be true). All religions or faiths have different truths, some are philophies, some are ways of living your life, some deal with love and some deal with hate. I personally have faith in the bible. I believe that to be true. But I go by the greek bible and what that says, over time, people have a habit of changing things around, like with the johova witness bible for example, they started with using the seventh day adventist bible (which sprung from christianity) and then their "leader" began to change things around and that is what makes it the religion it is today. No offense to the Johova Witness'.

The fact that there are so many belief systems is a strong indication that all of them are wrong. If there were a god, it could just step forward and show the truth for all to see. But since there is no god, people keep on hallucinating and quarreling about its "true" nature.

No; there are only two paths, a wide spacious one and a narrow cramped one. Jesus said:

what then is a religion. given to a distinct people from a God who knows all his children , when we gather to talk of what each has been given to understand in learning of the Holy Spirit, we all know of a God who teaches. it is when we cross over cultures that we trespass on anothers right land. Islam is such a tress passer upon lands outside it's own.
