yes, well meaning people have often does this based on their faith alone. Faith is just a door to the answer not the answer itself. Without the answer and the answer confirming what you are hoping for to happen, It doesn't happen. The answer is the provider of the request not faith alone.

To answer your question: Yes.
Although.............................
I have to wonder what it is you hope to gain by bashing religious believers on this site, or for that matter, what they have to gain by bashing the athiests.
I read some of your Q&A and it would seem that you are on a crusade of sorts, to convert the believers to your accepted basis for reasoning. Not too unlike the mission of so many theists throughout our history (ie: The Spanish inquisition, The Crusades, etc.).
I am not a believer, but I certainly see no harm in allowing others to follow the paths that they choose for themselves. If a man wants to believe in a higher power, then by all means let him.
Does it hurt you? Are you concerned for their eternal salvation? That last question of course was meant to illustrate for you that at least the religious folks often have a valid concern for the non-believers.
At least the Christian doctrine advocates "saving" the lost sheep (non-believers) from fiery damnation and such.
As an athiest you have no obligation to the believers. What I am guessing that you are suffering from in this case is annoyance or disgust at the concept of believing in a higher power based on nothing more than faith.
I can't see the sense in it myself, but I also realize that most people need something to believe in. The concept of living and dying with no actual purpose is pretty overwhelming for some people. Religion is a common remedy for this "need for purpose".
I could go on, but I do have work to do, so I will leave you with this:
The belief system a person subscribes to does not define them, it is merely a way for them to cope with the realities of the world. Your quest to disprove them and/or convert them is much like a religion in itself. So much easier to judge a man's character by his actions and words. What keeps him sane or makes him feel complete is his business.
Let it go brother. I am sure you have enough real issues in your life to focus on rather than trying to accomplish the impossible. Just think of how positive your own life could be if you focused your energies on YOUR problems as opposed to the guy next door. Like it or not......religion is here to stay.

Depend on what kind of faith you believe in. Jehovah God is a God of love. There is no fear in love. Having your faith to believe in God, is to be a believer who be obedient to His will. What ever you do in His name sake needs to come out good at the end, because God is good. He is love.

yes. take christian scientists for example. They won't go to the docotor when ill, because they have faith that "god" will heal them. Most often they die...Jim Henson is a great example.

Losing ones balance either way (the physical or the spiritual) usually leads to disaster.

Yes, yourself.
Christians are often killed for their faith.
For example:
Jhn 15:18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
Jhn 15:19 “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

I don't think you're really talking about faith. I think you're talking about credulity.
