A compound bow IS a type of long bow. When they say long bow they are referring to a recurve bow. Do you mean crossbow? Crossbows are NOT allowed according to the website.

Yes. You can hunt turkey, chickens, and wild mice, with a Compound bow, or a bow and arrow. If you plan on taking the turkeys life, I suggest use an arrow with the bow , or a sharp object, and of course a firearm, would be most effective. Kroger? Has to be the best choice by far. Its already hunted, killed , cleaned, and wrapped. You might consider a restraunt. They offer the same, and will cook it for you and bring it to your table. Yes, you can hunt turkey with a wooden leg in Mo. But call you wild life managment dept first.

It's just differentiating between hand held bows (long bows) and cross bows. A compound is fine.

there's a distinction in comments on suitable bows, arrows, broadheads etc.. you dont ought to pass drop 650 on a mathews switchback to have a good bow. I worked as much as high priced bows. Get a amazing greater much less high priced bow (hoyt pse etc) can p.c.. them up used for 250-3 hundred. Any bow right tuned can kill a deer. Dont purchase a seven-hundred bow and pass to walmart and purchase a 4 dollar arrow. pass on your archery save pay for quaity carbon arrows and function them fletch and nock the arrows. Have the bow you purchase paper tuned. purchase high quality stabilizer, and arrow relax( i want whisker biscuit for silence). purchase amazing setting up mechanical launch. I shoot muzzy 125grain broadheads and prepare with them in basic terms for some month in the past season. container information will fly a splash diverse even nonetheless they are comparable grain. I nonetheless have my first bow that value me below one hundred.00 that i will hit basically as good with at 20-25 yds as my intense dollar mathews. Its no longer as quickly ,a splash louder, and lots bulkier yet shoots accurately. So the respond on your question is get a descent bow and the suitable kit to pass with it and prepare prepare prepare...there's a huge distinction in shooting a three-D aim and drawing down on a boone and crocket coming in the process the comb. prepare from a treestand as angles do exchange photos and practive drawing sitting down as i made that mistake my first year searching. Pulling back sixty 5# is a lot greater sturdy sitting no longer able to stand b/c the deer snuck up on you.
