I would like to find some free sites for downloading of books for management, quality, standards environment etc

Try www.iso.org, there is some good info there. I believe there are links for other sites there also.

None of the ISO standards is free. The trick is to find explanations of the standard, that usually incorporate the standard or official and free pre-releases of the standards. The pre-releases often differ just slightly from the official standard, so it does not matter.
Be patient with Yahoo or Google and you will find something.

If these are for school, you might try the originating organization (your school, if it is accredited, should have a subscription to allow you to access these as a student).

If this is for commercial - you need to know someone, as the ISO folks charge for these (they are all copyrighted - and the ISO folks have to feed their kids too).

This is true of all "standards" out there.

You will have to pay for them. As part of a Quality Managment Team, your company should provide this. We have one hard copy and an electronic copy for our whole department to use.

You will have to purchase these. It's illegal to copy them
