I would love to be able to get the protein out of a few eggs each morning, but I cannot stand their taste. I would appreciate any tips on preparing them in a way that would make them less...eggy. I'm looking for a simple solution, something that would be quick, easy, and effective. Any suggestions?

Hi!

Beat up a couple of eggs with 2 tsp water, prepare a frying pan with a small spoonful of oil and a couple or even three teaspoons of butter...
over medium heat, let the butter brown until it smells nutty, and then do the eggs. They taste very good that way.

Also, you could do bacon to eat with them... or
make an omelette and put in some Swiss cheese and fresh herbs which are delicious.

Be sure to season them with a little salt and pepper after you cook them.

Or, you could do as someone here suggested: drown them in ketchup! Heinz also makes a chilli sauce which is quite like their ketchup but has more vegetables in it and is not at all hot. Try.

This is very tasty with only a small amount of egg taste.
Scramble your eggs with some grated cheddar cheese.
Heat one or two ready cooked biscuits (I do mine in the microwave for about 15 seconds), and put the scrambled eggs in the middle like a sandwich.
It's even better when you've cooked a patty of sausage, or a slice or two of bacon, and added that to it.
Voila! Egg taste is gone.

Scramble them up, add some sausage, hash browns and cheese and hot sauce and roll it all up in a tortilla for burritos.
These are easy to do . Make up a bunch and freeze them for use throughout the week.

Like yourself, I hate the taste of eggs too. I do like it certain ways like in a quiche -- so I can throw lots of cheese and veggies (broc, spinach etc in). If its scrambled, I throw in everything -- lots on chopped onions, cheddar cheese, sliced olives, ham, mushrooms -- and then I overcook it, lol. A dish I like & have made for years is...

You can omit the sauce, if you want. I add a samll can of tiny bay shrimp.

Egg Fu Yung
Serving Size : 4

3 tablespoons soy sauce, divided
1 (6.2-ounce) package RICE-A-RONI® Fried Rice (Buy the kind with almonds in it)
6 eggs, beaten
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (16-ounce) can bean sprouts, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup vegetable oil, divided
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup water

In small saucepan, over medium-high heat, bring 2 tablespoons soy sauce, cornstarch and water to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened. Set aside.

Prepare RICE-A-RONI as package directs; cool. In medium bowl, combine eggs with remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce and black pepper. Stir in cooled RICE-A-RONI, bean sprouts and green onions. (I add the shrimp here.)

In large skillet, over medium-high, heat 1 tablespoon oil. Spoon 1/2 cup of rice mixture into skillet. Spread to form a 6-inch circle. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining rice mixture to form 8 patties using remaining oil as needed. Serve with sauce.
