I recently took two pictures while my battery was low. The next day when i went to review the photos, the camera said the pics where unrecognized files. Is there any way to get my pictures back. I think they were lost somehow because the batteries were low?

I had this problem (damaged files while they were written during the time the batteries went dead).

I tried the usual assortment of file recovery techniques using Windows data recovery commands and third party software. I had no luck - the files were gone. YMMV, though - give it a try.

I've owned 2 digital cameras in the past 10 yrs both Kodak easy shares and the best i've owend so far. i have now the Z915 10x zoon that I purchased for $125 brand new, shop around don't buy refurbished period... The new BIG zoom Kodak has gotten great reviews BUT I don't like the looks or feel of it. Before buying my Kodak Z915 I bought the Cannon and Nikon cameras and returned them after a couple weeks of trial... why pay the money for a product that does just as good if not better for alot less.Check out the Kodak Z981 you might like the feel and look of it...

The camera probably did not have enough battery to write all the image in the card. When a photo is taken, it take a few seconds (sometimes longer depending on the camera) to write the image. Probably the images are lost. You might try an image recovery program like- photo rescue. It is a long shot, but if the pictures were really important it wouldn't hurt to try.

I am afraid I have to agree with you on the pictures being lost due to your batteries being low.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I have never seen that message on my Kodak Easyshare. Sorry I can't help you.
