A pregnant cat will usually have a predetermined area to have her litter. Usually it's in an isolated area like behind furniture, or in an enclosed area like a box. Ususally it's an area where there is not a lot of people hanging around. If your cat is insisting on staying in a location where she normally doesn't go to, it's a good sign she's about to go into labour. She may also make some noise that I can best describe as a deep-throated groan. It's very distinct.

Do you realize that for every 1 person born, there are 7 puppies and kittens
born? At best, 1 will find a forever home.
And don't forget, that every "Free-to-good-home" litter takes homes away
from animals already at the shelter.
STOP letting your pets; or your friends, relatives or co-workers pets
contribute to the problem.
If you love animals, it is NOT ENOUGH to merely say "My pets are fixed".
Vow to educate and enable others to fix their pets too.
Spaying just 1 female dog or cat, will prevent 6 others from ending up in a
shelter the following year.
Please be part of the solution, NOT the problem!
Thank you. ^..^

pregnant cats are pretty much the same when they are preparing for birth. they get very restless, walking around alot and mewing. it's great if you can make ready a soft inclosed place for her to birth the kittens, a box with towels in it will be fine. show her the birth box before she has them though, or she may pick her own place! the closer she gets to birthing, the more uncomfortable she will seem. then all of a sudden, you notice she has been gone for awhile, and when you find her(hopefully in the birthing box), kittens!! good luck!

It dosen't do as much exercise and seems to be straining more to move. Also it will find a place to have the kittens.

From personal experience she started to pant and her body moved strangely and she was trying to find a place to give birth.
