You can have perfect morals without any sort of religion. Morals are standards of society, and can be derived from reason as well. Kant's moral philosophy is a good example.

You don't have to believe in God to be a good person.
There are many atheists who are good (morally).
There are many who believe in God who have little for morals.
"If yes, why do people tell me that I must believe in God to have good morals, no God=no orders and no morals."
Because they believe it is laws and rules (or some higher power and threat of punishment) that makes people do the moral thing. They don't believe people can just know right from wrong and act morally.
That points out a low order of development. Because even if there was no law at all, some would still do what is right. Granted many others would not.

Morals are a cultural construct. They have nothing to do with faith. It's learned behavior. Just believeing in an invisible person in the sky does not a good person make. Look at all the psychopathic killers who've said that God told them to kill. They believe entirely in God, and yet very few people think they're good.

I believe in an imaginary God, and I have good standards.
If you don't believe in a real God, then at least believe in an imaginary one, for the sake of the children. It's just like Santa Claus, only in the case of God they believe in it to a later age, and that should be respected.
So, in light of the facts of science and humanity, and all that, let them at least have an imaginary God. And by all means, they should be moral and upstanding, whatever.

There is a Scripture which speaks of those who are not believers but are a law unto themselves because they accuse and excuse the right and wrong in each other... and that the laws are written on their hearts.....((Romans 2:14-16))
Therefore, one need not be a believer to be a good person.... But, if they judge another, they cannot be hypocritical in thinking...... In other words.... they must walk that walk and talk what they talk....
****PS: it is not that there are none "good"... it is that there are none "righteous", no not one.... (romans 3:10)

you can be a good person without God just not a saved one - as for morals God give us the absolute truth so if we are not staying with that our morals will be off center - they may not be bad but will not be inline with God's

believing in God is not just for morals. as a matter of fact, morals are only the result of your faith in God.
primarily, believing in God is for salvation. saved people live moral lives.

Even if you could do far better than you are doing now, you still can't do well enough, because you don't please God by being good (Gal. 2:21), but by accepting Jesus (John 1:12).
Sincerity is not the way to heaven. What if you are sincerely wrong? (Remember John 14;6?)
If you are relying on your sincerity, then you are saying because you are sincere, you are therefore good enough, on your own, to be with God. Don't you see, to appeal to your sincerity is to appeal to pride, because you are appealing to something that is in you and not God, for your reason to go to heaven? I am sorry, sincerity is not enough. You must have faith, in Jesus.
How long have you been doing your best? Has it worked so far? Has it given you eternal life?

Because God is infinitely good and the source of all goodness and we need His grace to be good, you know yourself how we can do bad things like actions and words so therefore we are not the source of our own goodness, but remember this too,you are not as bad as you think you are but not as good as you can be!

The Bible tells us that "there are none good, no not one."
so the answer would be no. you don't have to believe in God to be a good person, because you can't be a truly good person no matter what you do.
there was only one who was good, and that was Jesus.
