Many women have skin that has dry patches as well as blemishes. The solution is to choose an antibacterial cream that will kill off the cause of your blemishes, while soothing the skin around them. This means you won't be left with dry patches of skin as well as blemishes.

my skin therapist told me that for oily skin you should only wash ur face 2x a day. too frequent washing will hv the reverse effect of turning ur skin into grease sheet.

dont use blemish cream. they hv the same drying effect on me. instead moisturise ur skin 2x a day after washing.

Int he morning, use a cream cleanser that cleans the pores, and acne medicine then a moustrizer. Then at night use a gel or foaming cleanser, acne medicine then moustrizer. Once a week, use a exfoliating scrub for you face to clean off your dead skin cells that tend to clog pores.

For a gentle astringent, you might try witch hazel. It's less concentrated than rubbing alcohol, plus it's less expensive than the "name brand" products.

Remember to also use a non-comedogenic (one that doesn't cause pimples) moisturizer to keep your skin's healthy, natural oils intact.

You can also talk to a dermatologist for a personal consultation. They'll make sure you're using only non-comedogenic products, from your moisturizer to your make-up. (I use St Ives, which my dermatologist said is non-comedogenic)

Good luck! :)
