I don't understand your question. How can the Excel file be "gone?" You deleted it? Did you "copy/paste" or did you Import??? You have to import. Access should have imported the data, not the formatting like highlights. Email me. I'm a database administrator (Access back end, Visual Basic front end"

Bit late now, I know, but if you've still got the table open try CTRL+Z. If not, did it not ask you if you wanted to save changes?
Personally, I never work from an original db, I always make a copy & use that for just that sort of reason. Sorry to sound frivolous, I really am, but you live and learn!
Hopfully you can get it back - is there a copy on a server somewhere, perhaps?
It might come down to a lot of finger-work in the end, but that'll be a damn sight cheaper and quicker than getting a data recovery mob on the job

Did you make a backup copy first?
If not, there are services that will try to recover lost data on a hard drive for a fee. There's no guarantee that they can do it, though, and the best thing to do is to shut that computer off NOW and not use it any more. I think you'll need to send the hard drive to them too. Do a search for "data recovery service" from another computer to find them.
