there is no such thing as the 'British online lottery'

Scam

If you didnt enter this "lottery" then its a scam.

Its along the line of the letter about a rich guy in brazil (you name the country), and they have millions of dollars and want to invest in the US and need "someone" who is willing to give out thier bank account number in order to claim it... Then, clean you out!

Well, the lottery thing will also want your bank account number in order to "deposit" it, and clean your clock!

Beware, nothing on the Internet is to be trusted... (Phisshers-->crooks by another name), even go as far as copying entire web pages to send to you to get your credit cards, or that you will go to, that look like the "real deal", but are phonies... Its all bogus anymore.

I wish you well..

Jesse

It's pure snake oil.
If I actually had won the lottery each time I get one of these scam spam emails, I'd have more money than there is in the world.

Don't send them any money. Give it to me instead!!!

Cheers.

I got the same thing....You didn't sign up for it did you?
I even followed up with an email to them saying to send me a check, which they then told me I had to send a check to cover the taxes, then they will send me a check for the amount. I wrote them back saying to take the taxes out of my winnings, but they never wrote back after that.....SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you could send them all your details, be sure to include your pin number and transfer £5000 to them as theyll need that to release your winnings, or
you could look up the work phishing.
