I think that a fridge which can contain nothing larger than a couple of cans is a pretty pointless invention.
I think the idea of it (the convenience and quirkiness of having a miniature fridge in your bedroom) far outweighs the reality (inadeqauately sized appliance taking up room and using electricity).
I mean how far away is the kitchen, really?

I had one for college last year in my dorm. Although we had a full sized refrigerator in our dorm (apartment) my roommates ALWAYS ate my food. I got a mini fridge for my room and that was the end of that problem. I got mine at Wal Mart for about $70. It was the perfect size and i never worried about having food again! I think its a great idea! Hope this helps!

Before I saw the rest of your answers I thought they were quite cute and would save a few trips to the kitchen, now I am not so sure.

Very good as they fit in where needed like the TV room and let you get fat without having to walk to the kitchen at all.

It depends on who you are buying it for.
If it's for someone living in a college dorm it's a good idea.
