You should be safe but You should have some antispyware stuff and a firewall. They can all be found on the internet depending on where you look
I recommend:
Nod32 antivirus
Zonealarm security suite
Webroot spysweeper
get all 3 if you can

get AVG and zone alarm, as far as limewire goes you SHOULD be fine if you dont try and download any .zip or .exe files, thats when i normally pick up viruses, but run a full scan once a week, i know its a pain in the *** but it beats the hell out of messing your pc up[

Also, install an anti spyware and scan the PC. I can give a few links that offer free spyware removers...! . Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

try avg free version. it is the best free software around.
also, be aware that some content from limewire can be very malicious!
