have been off pain meds for almost 3 months now.

Sounds like a very bad idea. Good on you for the 3 months!
If you were in a position where your doc was getting ready to prescribe opiates of any kind, I would tell them point-blank about your prior usage and withdrawal. They would likely prescribe something else.

for what I assume if you were addicted to those pain killers why would you want to go back to take them? If you were addicted to that ..don't do it unless you really have a horrible pain that wont go away with just taking a simple tylenol or motrin.
