Physics (i.e the nature) is the world of symmetry and such beautiful pairings. In particle physics, starting with electrons and positrons (anti-electrons; the same mass, the opposite electric charge) you will see that EVERY fundamental particle has got its ant-particle (or pair). After it was confirmed by experiments, Prof. Abdus-salam was awarded a Nobel prize for first introducing this theory (apparently inspired by Quran's assertion on "God's creating pairs, specially in plants besides humans and what you don't know"). Many physicists, after him, received their Nobel prizes for finding such ant-particles in labs.
