In so far as it's calorie-free and it's a liquid -- which is good if one is dieting -- and it fills you up so you'd (conceivably) eat less, it is good.
However, the caffeine in the drink might have adverse effects. Same for the artificial sweetener in there.

All of these so-called diet sodas are nothing but poison to your body. It doesn't matter if they are sweetened with nutrasweet or splenda. If you want soda on a diet drink regular sugary soda, but limit your intake to no more than 1. The best drinks are water and tea. For tea, I like mine unsweet, or you can use Stevia which you can find at any health food store or the natural foods section at a well stocked grocery store like Kroger.
At one time I used to drink diet soda. Drank it for years, even in my teens. I had to stop in my mid 20s, not because of the information I discovered, but because I fainted at work within minutes of consuming 1/2 a can of cherry diet coke. After I came to I still extremely shaky and nauseated. At the time I didn't know why I fainted. I explained what happened to my parents when I got home. I still wasn't feeling too great the next morning so they took me to the family doctor who happens to specialize in diabetics. He ran the standard tests for diabetes which all came back as "normal". After I told the doctor about the diet sodas. He told me that I had a toxic reaction which in this case can also be considered an allergic reaction.
I did try Splenda because I thought it was "safe". I had a very similar reaction to it as well, except I didn't faint.
So...if I need sweeteners I use sugar or Stevia.

My boyfriend is a predominant health freak. He has told me countless times to no longer drink food regimen drinks on account that they're so dangerous for you. He learn up on some learn they did with persons consuming ordinary coke and the opposite half ingesting eating regimen coke. They'd them determine and it sounds as if the drinkers of typical coke extended a lot more than these ingesting food plan drinks. He also advised me that he learn that diet drinks have chemical compounds that make you hooked on it. That is all matters ive heard second hand so i dont have any proof or anything. I think he could have read that from a booklet in his university health type although...I want i knew extra but it surely was awhile in the past he instructed me about it! Sorry if that wasnt as precious as you wanted but my recommendation is that if youre trying to be healthy you then should attempt to now not drink it no variety of soda is just right for you!!

It's not bad for you if you're on a diet and you crave for sodas, but it's bad for your overall health.
Sugar substitutes are not good for you if you consume them more than you're supposed to; sodas are loaded with CO2 (that's why they're fizzy); and finally, sodas are bad for your stomach, your liver and kidneys.
If you can't eliminate your Pepsi at once, start reducing it, so eventually you stop drinking it.
I quit my last diet Pepsi three years ago and I started drinking much more water than before. It helped my system clean out from toxins and lose weight. Yes, water is best for you, and tastes great. You can occasionally drink some 100% fruit juice, but don't overdo it, you better eat fruit instead.
Hope this all helps you!

Lts of conflicting info out there. The sweetner has been shown to cause cancer in lab rats. As well some people feel that it actually stimulates your cravings for sweet foods. This is all stuff I have read since I don't drink it. Probably it is not good for you. Try plain water or carbonated waters.

All fizzy drinks are bad for you. Besides caffeine, artificial sweeteners, sugars, whatever all that other crap is that's in there, the carbon dioxide that makes the drinks fizzy leeches valuable minerals, like magnesium and calcium, from your bones.
Bad bad bad. Also bad for digestion. Drink clean water and fresh fruit or vegetable juices. Green or white tea is also good.

I recommend eliminating all soft drinks from the diet. They all have their downfalls...regular or diet.

It has no nutritional value and the caffeine dehydrates you. Try flavored waters or juices.
