I was driving my car got eye to eye contact with a beautiful girl walking in opposite direction, by the time i stopped with a confusion may she was an aquantance, i had driven about 20 meters away from her, i saw in the back mirror, she was coming. she came & stopped near the car & was looking at me. I realised that I donot know her & drive away, but i could see a mix of disappointment & fear on her face. what was all this?

She probably thought that you were going to introduce yourself or try to come on to her, and she probably would have welcomed it, but after your actions "not purposely" you probably made her feel as though she had just been rejected or that maybe from a distance she saw someone attractive, and once you got up on her maybe you did not feel that way anymore. Even if this is not the case you still shook her confidence a little bit. Next time even if you are not interested at least say something like "I thought you were someone else" but don't just drive off like she is beetle juice.

She probably needed a ride, when you stopped she assumed you were going to help her out. It's called a hitch hiker and it is a dangerous thing to do these days....hence the fear and disappoinment on her face.

Oh God, you are such a fool!!!!!! She was waiting for you to speak to her. She wanted to go out with you, she perhaps liked you or else she wouldn't came back with her car!!!! But as you didn't know her, you just left her like that, oh My God, you missed an opportunity to get a beautiful girlfriend, oh God!!!!!!!

maybe she wanted to see if she knew you to, or she probably thought you were cute and wanted to chat or she may have needed a ride somewhere theres so many answers to your question.but if you see her again maybe you should apologize to her for being rude and ask her if she needs a ride somewhere, maybe you do know her, youll be surprized
