I just got caught this cold last night and i need to get rid of it fast. Whats the best cough medicine out there?

If it's a pretty bad cold (you feel achey, & have stuffy nose &/or fever too) then use Dayquil for the day & Nyquil @ nite. They work really good. The Dayquil gives you a little energy to get through the day if you still have to go to school or work, & the Nyquil helps you sleep better @ nite so you can get better faster plus relieves your symptoms.

A recent test done on the most popular brands of cough medicine showed that none of them in fact had any beneficial effect on a persons cough.

It really depends on what kind of cough you have. If it is a dry irritating cough then something with DM, it you have mucous and need to expel it then something with guafinessen. If your are coughing enough to keep you up then DM with codein. If it is serious or if you have a fever then you need to see your doctor.

just for a cough then i reccomend robitussin DM. the best stuff around for kids and adults. good luck with your cold and happy holidays=)

both nyquil and dayquil Cough work very well especially if you need to work.

if it is dry cough then u can have benadryl and if it is purulent one then you should go for some anti-biotics with cough suppressant
