Talk to him and make it clear to him now so that he will be hurt less. But please when you talk to him, do it when both of you are alone so that he won't get embarrased and don't be rough with him when doing so. If you approach him gently you won't loose the friendship there is between you two. Hope this helps and Good Luck

HELLO! Usually lover do start out as best friends. You're just not there yet. Once that happens its hard to go back. How do u know that he is falling in love with you. I once had a friend that was constantly trying to get me interested in her that way. We were just best friends until she went out with my brother and the married. I sure was mad at her after that and didn't consider her my best friend any more. I never told my brother. So that is what happens some times.

If you don't want him as your lover then never ever let him think that your relationship could possibly go in that direction. You must also make personal rules for yourself to make sure that you to do not go in that direction which can sometimes happen during certain situations which is almost always regretted after.

thats a difficult situation guys often fall for girls they r close with if u only want him as a friend it could mean heartbrake for him thats just a very slippery slope to go down i dont no wut to tell u what ever u do though do not go on a 1 on 1 date with him do not lead him on if he tells u he likes u as more then a friend tell him the truth and hopefully he will get over it but if he truly is falling for u he may experience heartbrake

Just tell him that, but I warn you, men and women can't be just "friends", especially if they are attracted to each other at all.
