His eyes are solid white - not yellowish. When I've asked our family dr in the small town we live in....the dr always just says it's carrottitus and not to worry about it. But the more peope who see him and say "oh does he have jondus?" or "he's yellow" the more worried I get. What should I do?

you could do 2 things take him to the local hospital and have him checked or go out of town to a pediatrician trained in kids. your local small town doctor may not be up to date with child hood things such as this and if he is old all the more reason to go else where. i have a question though do you feed him a lot of peaches, carrots, and sweet potatoes? cause if you do that is your cause. my friends daughter almost looked orange after a while because all she liked was sweet potatoes. if this is the situation you need to implement different colored baby food so the body will break down the oranges/yellows and return to normal color. good luck and happy holidays=)

I'd get a second opinion. My daughter had jaundice, even though the doctor said she didn't. But when she was rushed into the hospital (for roseola - only children under 2 can get this) the told me she was jaundiced. So, the doctor's had to help with both the roseola, which could have killed her, and the jaundice.

You can take him to another doctor for a second opinion. How are the skin tones in your family? Are there people in your son's heritage that have sallow skin? Personally, I would probably get a second medical opinion. Good luck!

You could get him more Sun light. That's what they do for jondus or see another doctor. I know new mothers worry a lot, try and settle down. If he's O.K. don't worry so much.

Get a second opinion. You don't want to take any chances with your baby's health.

P.S. Are you sure you know who the daddy is?
