They look too thin and tender to be leeks. My best guess is that they are scallions or green onions which I always knew to be one and the same.

But curiously, they have much more "white" than all of the green onions or scallions I have ever seen.

So maybe they ARE a different vegetable and we all just don't know it???

The kinda look like "green Onions" or "Scallions" but they can also be "Leeks" but they look a little thin to be leeks.

they are scallions sometimes called shallots (not to be confused with french eschallots) they are definetely not leeks. Leeks have flat leaves that are a v shape, these are round and hollow.

These are leeks. Theyre very common and readily available in the produce section of almost any grocer.
