You make a good point. I don't believe some of the things that you believe, but I won't go into that here. That is what E mail is for. We need to respect each other. The one thing I do like about JW, is that you do get out and go door to door. Other Christian faiths really should be doing this.

Getting to know you and your beliefs are two seperate things. I you had twenty people from the same religion, how each would interpet those religions would be a little different. The people skills would make the the opinions even more different.
Jehovah's Witnesses are more unified in their beliefs. I understand your services are the same on a topic where ever you may be. It keeps everyone on the same page.
I have some clients who are Jehovah Witnesses, in 15 years, they have been consistant in living their beliefs, in business which is a true witness. I have been so impressed by their true love for their fellow man. We do not argue dogma, but share a common love for the Bible and a desire to live good lives. I have worked with many faiths and do not judge someone by their faith. How someone lives their beliefs, is their true witness.
I think the agressiveness in this site is because people are threatened by what they do not understand. This is also a written forum, which will tend to be more personal. It is not a bad thing to exchange ideas, as long as a common respect for our differences is shared. No one has the absolute answer of faith for everyone. The search is to find the answers for individual needs and questions, this is a personal quest.
I have seen a unity in Jehovah's Witnesses. I think it is admirable. I have my own beliefs, tho, and no one wants to hear your wrong, my belief is the only belief.
When I witness I pray that God let me say what is of him, not me. That I somehow am a comfort to someone for their sake, not mine.
Only God knows the need of the person you are talking to. I pray for the patience, to not rush and just be helpful.

Good question! The only logical aswer would be,that most are not true Christians, living free of sin, obeying God's commandments, and they think that their prejudice, disrespectful ignorant discrimination,is justified by freedom of speech! Badmouthing, and bashing is sin,and they will pay the price for each one,or repent, and become true Chritians, forgive all others,be sorrowful, and sin no more! Your Chuch of Jehovah Witness does not teach exactly, what Jesus taught! Correction is a blessing, God bless everyone! Satan has corrupted the Bible, by portraying God to mankind! I have been studying my entire life! And I too, have alot to learn, and much more is being revealed, even as we speak! We would not know the truth, until end times! So, everything that has been taught, should be checked and analyzed by all, because there's so very many conflicting viewpoints as to facts which have occured! The Jews could not believe that Jesus was indeed born? They wrote the first Bible, and studied the old testament! A difference of interpretation or meaning is not badmouthing or bashing! I hope that you can be open to the truth, and not be blinded or deafened by the teachings of a religion! I am non denominational, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and I am the chuch,my body is a temple, Jesus lives in me by the power of the Holy Spirit! Jesus is the oxygen I breathe, the truth in my mind, the love in my heart, and the charity in my actions! I have prayed for all souls on earth, created, and born, or yet to be born! God help us all! Love always to you, Merry Christmas, and A Very Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

Professor, I used to be a Witness and I was very much like you. Your statement that "I am sharing only the Bible, they are God's words, not mine" is one that I expressed many times.
When I told people that 'according to reliable Bible chronology", the 1000 year reign of Christ was due in or around the year 1975, I believed it was Bible chronology I was sharing. When I told them that "the Bible promised" that the generation of 1914 (those who were old enough to discern the significance of 1914) would not pass away till the new system came, I believed it was the Bible's promise. When I told them that God's name is Jehovah, I believed that - somehow I just disregarded the fact that we don't actually know his name except Y-H-W-H.
I believed in the Watchtower, but then I started to actually pay attention to the Bible more than the Watchtower. Gradually I realized I was preaching the Watchtower message, not the Bible's. Jesus gave good advice. Fig trees don't produce apples. True prophets don't bear the fruit of false prophecy.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Some people apparently have had a really bad experience with religion, and they find this a safe place to lash out. Perhaps they will get over it. I hope so, because I hate to see so much disrespect.
I support healthy and friendly debate. But not bashing. In debate, if done properly, truth can be arrived at. But with bashing, people just get hurt feelings and animosity occurs. Division gets stronger, and nothing good is accomplished.
I don't know much about Jehovah's Witnesses, but I would learn something about them before saying anything.

Phil 4:4-8
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
Christs Blessings to all!

The reason there so many people who log in the "Religion & Spirituality, it's not just to bad mouth as you say.
I have learened that all the religions claim their god and at the same time say it's all one god, now let that soke in. Good & Evil now there a subject everyone can assioate with, I see it as a smoke screen, while they confuse peoples minds and lead them to church, the unknowningly believers put there blessing on evil doers they defend it and call it good. That in it's self leads to the reason a lie can be more easyer believed than the truth. Once you can see the truth, which is encourged by jesus, you will see that the higherpower is the religious leader figures, wheather it be the pope or rabbi or what ever the rest call theire hight preist.
