This is due to fat distribution in the axial area around the face, under the chin, around the neck and around the shoulders causing moon face and buffalo hump.

don't forget the 'hump'. Steroids alter the metabolism and deposition of fatty tissue.

I was told by my doctor that water retention was a side affect.
