The motivation is a good life now and a better one later. But those who turn down God are rejecting Him. This falls into false worship, which is idolatry.

Nothing is motivating me either way. Im not accepting OR declining because there is no proof that there is a god other than the fact that we are here. There is scientific proof that goes against those old books so i will go with modern science.

You don't accept or decline god. In contract law there is no binding contract until one party acknowledges that he is offering something and the other party accepts the offer. I have never in my life felt that I have had a genuine offer from any god, demigod, spirit or serpent, therefore I have declined nothing.

God makes sense. Personally, I cannot believe the universe "just happend" (big bang). The odds are simply too slim and I don't have that much faith.
Believing in God to explain our planet and life is much easier.
The next step I had was finding a faith that made sense and I decided Jesus was the answer.
The next question is always "well what made God?" I don't know.....but I'll usually ask them "what caused the big bang? and they don't know. So, we are at an impasse.
I simply think it makes more sense that a higher power created us...why? who knows. I don't really care about the why....I probably wouldn't understand it anyway.

I neither accept nor decline god. I don't think he exists and until something convinces me otherwise there is nothing for me to accept or decline.

I accept for fear of Hell.
I decline for the strong arguments against the existence of an all-loving, all-knowing, all-powerful God. It just can't be when you look at what is happening in the world.

I simply do not agree with him on what a sin is so I can not follow someone that I do not agree with. I believe that Jesus was a rebel and a bit of a politician, not that that is bad. I also think that because the bible was written so long ago by so many different people that it is similar to broken telephone there is no way to know what actually happened and it was much easier to trick people back then, they were naive.

I don't decline a god, just the idea of one. I'm not saying there aren't any there, I'm just saying I don't see the point in putting belief in something that cannot be proven to exist.
If you give me some sort of proof that lack of worship of a deity causes eternal damnation of your soul then I'd be inclined to change my mind. If there was proof that there was a higher being who deserved our thanks then I would be inclined to change my mind. There are neither, only people controlling people with the fear of gods.

Well the fact that there is no god for one.
After all, there isn't a single shred of credible evidence that supports the existence of this magic sky-pixie. Therefore without such evidence, it cannot exist.
Simple, straightforward and 100% true.

i decline because i can. because it is not somthing i can place my faith in. i also decline because it is my god given right and i have the freedom of making that choice thanks to this country to decline or accept what ever form of religion i wish.
