but when i start to play the songs back its skipping continuously, but when I play the cd back in Windows Media Player it sounds totally fine no skips at all,

A CD includes information, no longer actual sounds (in comparison to a record). whilst performed in a CD participant or computing device or in spite of the fact that, the information is translated into what you pay attention. A scatch is heard as a pass in a participant because of the fact because of the fact the laser strikes around the CD, it interprets information in genuine time. once you pay attention the pass, that's because of the fact it can't study the information, and strikes to the subsequent readable part of the CD. once you rip a CD, you're taking information and putting it on your computing device, as information. It does not get "translated" until you play the document. The music is seen as an entire document. If the document is broken, it won't rip it. So in that subject, the music would be lacking. you could polish a CD, if the scratch isn't too deep. There are kits available that do a enormously sturdy activity. additionally, if the scratch isn't too undesirable, a sturdy DVD author could have the flexibility to study what a CD rom tension won't. A DVD author makes use of a finer laser to study/write. this is worth a shot. sturdy success.
