it looks like you live in chicago so try this restarant
Ambria
Belden-Stratford Hotel
2300 N. Lincoln Park West (Belden Ave.)
Chicago, IL 60614
773-472-5959
This classic and stylish restaurant is among Chicago's best. Chef-owner Gabino Sotelino is a culinary whiz who knows how to work magic in the kitchen, as does his chef de cuisine, Christian Eckmann. The elegant Art Nouveau dining room, with its dark woods and soft edges, evokes memories of great rooms past, but the cooking is planted with both feet in the present. The menu changes seasonally, but you can count on a lush and sensuous foie gras or a napoleon of sea scallops for openers. Salads are no less exquisite, and if a restaurant's worth is measured by the goodness of its soups, then Ambria is estimable. Seafood and game are given equal billing on the menu, and we have never met a preparation of these that we didn't relish. Dégustation menus abound (including vegetarian and shellfish), so there is ample opportunity to taste and taste some more. Desserts are a treasure trove of delights. Ambria's resident wine expert knows how to pair food with wine. Trust him. In fact, the service, overall, is as professional as you will find. Definitely a special restaurant for that special celebration.

I would love to go on a romantic date to this restaurant called Cuba on Thompson between Bleecker and West 3rd. It's the cutest little place, amazing Cuban food, they have a little band that plays Spanish music quietly in the corner, and a guy who rolls cigars in another corner by the street window. It's adorable and cozy and sooo yummy.

I recently had success taking a girl to my local zoo to walk around and look at the Christmas lights. Maybe you could take her somewhere like that and see about doing some ice skating.

For a truly romantic atmosphere that has an unique draw, try Geja's on Armitage. Yes it's a bit pricey, but there really isn't anywhere else like it.

Try Uncommon Ground at Clark & Grace (two blks N. of Wrigley Field)...very diverse menu... not too pricey...friendly staff...they have some kind of music every night...big place.. if you think you'll like the music, sit close...otherwise there's like three " rooms"
