I live near derby in a village and the beer round here is £2.30 for your carling, about same for stella and beer is usually cheaper, about £2 a pint.
I went to Norway once and it was about £7 a pint. We had to do it, just to say we spent £14 on two drinks.
When we were in Rome, I spent €12 on a vodka and €8 on a 330ml beer. Then we went off Via Veneto and paid €4 a beer.
Daylight robbery (well, it wasn't because it was dark - but you get the gist).

Its around £2.50 to £3 a pint in the UK. I went to Denmark (Aarhus) twice in the mid 1990s and it was 40Kr a pint then, so you havent had that much of an increase in the last 11 years!
The most I've paid was in Norway (Bardufoss) in 2005. It was 60 NoKr for a pint, which worked out at £5.40. That was the cheapest beer on offer - some of it was 80 NoKr!!
You'll find that prices are relative to income throughout Europe. The Scandinavians pay through the nose for alcohol, but their salaries are higher, and some of their things will be cheaper than over here. The bottom line is if you are a Dane/Swede/Noggy, come to the UK to get plastered and if you are a Brit going there expect to pay a lot!!!

Here in the UK it varies. If you go to a Wetherspoons psuedo-pub it can cost as little as £1.80. Elsewhere you'd expect to pay between £2.00 (rarely) to £3.00 - but most places you can buy a pint for £2.50-£2.70.
Sounds like Denmark is an expensive place to live - and I thought the UK was bad.

Yea, the beer over here in the states is cheeper. 1-2 in bars... 4-5 in higher end clubs. There's a good reason for that, the beer here is piss poor flat in a minute, watered down like a camel spewed it back up.
I don't like Ameican beer as you gathered, I'd rather have a pint of cider or a mix (no more Taquillia please....)

HOLY SMOKES!
If my currency converter is correct, 48 Denmark Kroner is 8 Dollars and 47 cents!!!!!!!!
*OUCH!!!*
So, you didn't say whether you bought this in a bar (or restaurant) or at a grocery store.
if I were to buy a pint (say, a Boddington or McEwan's IPA) in my favorite local pub (see link), it would be about $5.00 US Dollars.
This is about 28.31DK.
That same pint in the grocery store (or liquor store) would be about $3.00 (16.98DK).
BTW - I'm in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
What are your favorite beers?
I've had Carlsberg before - it's good!
Happy holidays!
