They are ruining our schools in the areas where they concentrate. Poor people can't earn enough to make enough money to pay in taxes the $10,000 per child per year school costs, which is why we limit how many poor can come. When they also can't speak the language, our children's education funds are not only being drained to educate others, they are disproportionately giving funds to those who shouldn't be here, since ESL programs are so expensive. No where do OUR children have enough funds to get language education in elementary school, or much even in middle school, any more.
When I was in middle school in LAUSD I had a choice of French German or Spanish in 7th 8th and 9th (it was Jr High, back then.) Now my kids will get one semester of Latin and one semester of Spanish, no choices at all, in their entire 3 years of middle school.
In elementary school, all but spare basics must be funded by the parents including P.E.
It is a negative occurance.

This is making a bigger impact than most relize. I used to work at a high school for several years.Schools get funding money only after a child is in that system for so many months( every kid brings in a certain amount of money every year that the gov pays to the school but has to be there so many months to get it ), because most of these mexican kids parents are seasonal workers they would go from school to school NEVER recieving any money from the government. So guess who pays for them ? Plus every single Mexican kid eats FREE at lunch and breakfast guess who pays for that ?.In all fairness the Mexican kids are very well minded and very polite, and they appriciate the fact of getting a education much more than are own black and white kids.
The same thing goes for the welfare system !!! They can get and do get public assistance easier. Most parents are being payed cash so because of that they show no or little income they get food stamps and families first which pays a babysitter and a money on a debit card from the gov.Guess who`s paying for that?
They live bringing home cash, living together sometimes many families split rent and drawing all this public assistance. Most are more well off that our own workers.!!! have a lot more cash on hand.

all of this goes together. They don't pay taxes to support our schools or highways , etc but they suck up the welfare system.. When I was in school (not long ago) there were 25 kids in a class..now there is what..35-40 and how many of those are illegals.. Teachers don't have enough to worry about with guns and drugs, now they spend at least 1/3 of their day helping 5 or so students learning English and simple math..what about the other 35 kids..do they not matter. Those kids get free lunches (our taxes), free healthcare (our taxes), etc. When I was in school, learning a foreign language was optional..Now here it is MANDATORY to graduate..do you know how many kids struggle to learn English and now they are required to know Spanish so they can communicate with the kids that are that are too lazy to learn English..On top of that if the Teachers didn't spend so much time working with the ILLEGALS kids, our kids might be better equipped to go to college. and enter the workforce.

Of course its a negative impact, anytime there is more poplulation than the surrounding area can handle the outcome is always negative. Schools and hospitals always recieve the bad end of the deal, and all at the taxpayers expense. Its not right.

In England? They're dragging down standards in schools due to languauge problems, raising taxes to keep up with the increasing benefits burden (they can even claim for children they have, or claim to have, back in their own countries) and putting the already crippled NHS under further strain. The government are clueless as to how they can do anything about it, now they've let it get to this stage.

I have to agree with American. It is a real impact on our schools where I live. Teachers that I know complain that they have to spend a lot of one one with them to help catch them up with the others. Until we can do something to slow down the illegals it is going get worse. Also in my state they have some homes that these children live due to the fact they are abandoned. It is they taxpayers that funds these homes.
