The Quilter’s Barn is located in historic Allentown, NJ. The shop has been part of the Allentown business community since 1975. Patti Ryan is the fourth owner, and took her first quilting class at the shop 15 years ago. Patti bought the shop in July of 1998. Patti has sewn since the 7th grade but only began quilting when her children started preschool. All of the employees and instructors at the Quilters barn are experienced quilters, each with their own specialty. The shop gives quilting lessons, ranging from beginners to more advance classes that involve curved piecing, appliqué design, hand and machine quilting and piecing, and other techniques. Each session beginner’s classes are offered along with a variety of other classes. Both hand and machine quilters can find classes to peak their interests. A newsletter, with class descriptions is mailed out 3 times a year. You can also view the newsletter and register for classes from this site. The Quilter’s Barn boasts an inventory of 2000 bolts of cotton fabrics from the leading manufacturers. Hoffman, P & B, RJR, Moda, are just some of the names you will find on the shelves.
