LHP is a far bigger net than LaVeyan Satanism, or for that matter any form of Satanism...that's akin to saying Pagan means Wiccan. Very, very broad group of members, and not terribly organized, except in smaller societies here and there (none of which really agree with each other on anything definite anyway, but most have several common bonds). To sort of sum it up, most people who consider themselves pagan would be called RHP; there are certainly a few LHP practitioners who would be offended at being called pagan.

The CoS is just a sort of society within the net, and far less exclusive and less organized than most, to be perfectly honest. And for most of these groups, politics beyond belief don't much come into play--the CoS is probably the *most* "political", and for that matter the most ethical, as most of the others could care less about worrying about anyone else. (Not that they're evil or anything, they generally just want to be left alone with their books to carry on their own experiments.) Sorry if this is vague, but again, defining LHP is like defining paganism, and if anything it's even more disparate in belief.
