my mum kept one for 6 mths and she told me she still has one from last christmas in the freezer (she bought one too many)
i mean its frozen so it shouldnt be a problem but personally, i wouldnt like the idea of it being in there for more than 6mths

As long as its frozen, you should be able to hold it indefinately. Eventually it will start to get freezerburn which may effect the taste, but if it's kept frozen and then cooked properly you could keep it in there for years.

Most frozen food can be kept for a year, I've kept longer that, but I don't think the experts recommend it.

i have kept one for as long as 2 years. was still as if i had just bought it.
