Pardon!
I don't understand what it is that you are trying to explain.
As for being polite or abrupt....!
To whom is she being what?
Part of the 'polite and / or abrupt' answer lies in the voice and or manner of speaking.
I'm confused reading this (about 8 times), although, if she is at work (where she is paid to be) and is interrupted by her boss (who is paying her for her time), then the Boss is entitled to have the value of his money from her and she has to end 'abruptly' whilst may-be being as polite as possible to you ...if this is what you are meaning!
Please, don't ever get called on my behalf to offer up evidence in a Court of Law. I'd be sunk.
Sash.

It's being abrupt -- but rightly so.
If tells you she's trustworthy -- at that particular moment, she's supposed to be working. She's promised that her employers will have first call on her time during certain hours and she's keeping that promise.
If she did anything other than what you say she did she would be two-faced and untrustworthy and so not worth bothering about.

its not being abrupt she is at work and so therefore busy you cant expect her not to do any work and gossip with you. If her boss wants her she might be getting told off coz your trying to talk to her in work time or her boss may need to discuss something with her that is work related and as she is at work that has to come first.

Shes being neither - shes going to see her boss to ensure she doesnt get fired! Whilst shes at work - her work comes first. It might have been better if you'd organised to meet her on her lunch hour or something.
