I have visited Istanbul twice and people in general were really friendly, nice and polite with me.
I loved the place and I believe that despite our conflicts over the past years, Greeks and Turks share a lot of things in common and certainly we can be friends!

As my friend says, the Aegean Sea does not separate us, it unites us!

If you're a Greek, nobody treats you bad if you visit Turkey. Even they will call you neighbor and offer you food or drink.
On the internet you can see some Greek and Turkish nationalists insulting each other, but in real life they would not have any problem. Don't let internet trick you. Don't believe everything you read on internet.

We can say there's some hatred to Greeks in Turkey.
In Turkish forums you can see bad and nationalist messages, and good and peaceful messages. Let's say two groups.

But the nice thing is first group of people are ignorant and stupid they only know nationalist nonsense

Second group of people are increasing in Turkey. Things are getting better and better.

Personally I like friendship and peace and I would like to have more Greek friends.

I have no problem with them. Also I have a Greek friend from Y!A. She is a very friendly person.

But unfortunately I have seen 2-3 ultra-nationalist Greek people who hate from us..I'm a honest person - and I won't say it to compare the two countries's people or to show Greek people bad (think, I like Greeks and have a Greek friend) - I have never seen a Turkish person on Y!A who hates from Greek people.

I've never had any problem with Greeks personally. I have been to Greece 2 times and made really good friends there. Yes, I like them. Nationality is not important to me.

if you mean do they like them, on the whole... NO!

Greece and Turkey have great dislike / distrust, which is really shared by the people, not just in politics. check the article below if you're interested...
