put your xp install cd in - after temp files copy over, you get a screen that shows the partitions - delete the one (that has linux on it) that is there and make a new one.

If i understand your problem correctly, you may be having trouble installing XP on the computer with linux. If that is the case, then you can delete all linux partitions during partitioning dialog, using the linux installation cd and exit installation without going further. If you get unpartitioned space on your hard disk, XP can detect and install on it.

Just don't do it.... Dual boot the system if you want xp too but letting tux go doesn't seem sensible. Why on earth would someone on linux want to migrate entirely to windows??????????????????
Free up a partition on linux and install xp on it. Use a linux rescue cd and get grub or lilo up. You can choose xp or linux at boot then.

Hi!

You need to format the Linux partitions... Both ext2 or ext3 and swap. Usually, XP does not install if there any Linux partitions on the system, so, back up your files on disks and delete all partitions.

Then, you can install.

Good luck!

Uninstall it and Install Xp or wait for Vista. Be careful while uninstalling Linux, u`ll have to give format/mbr to remove the master boot record stuff or grub in particular.
