You could try some relaxation things such as meditation or music, reading a book, watching TV....sometimes it is really hard to shut the mind down after being restless and having a lot going on in your life.....chatting with a friend. I guess it depends on what's going on in your life right now. Hope you get some sleep.

I am having the same problems as you. The only thing that I have found that helps (other than sleeping meds) is a glass or two of wine. I toss and turn and keep my boyfriend up at night unless I take a warm bath and have a glass or two of red wine.

Maybe that will help!

If I can't sleep I'll try and eat something. My next options is to watch some TV or pop in a movie. Sometimes I'll go back on the computer. Right now it's 1:50am here and I'm supposed to be up at 5am. I can't sleep right now.

I use melatonin. You can get it over the counter and I would suggest taking about 3mg. It doesn't give you a hangover and it's a natural hormone that your body already produces. If for some reason you don't produce enough for sleep then you can take extra with the pills.

Smoke a bowl, or have an alcoholic drink. Sex also helps (honestly)
