Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Hi! I have insomnia also, have had it for a few weeks now. Because I am breast feeding my baby, I refuse to take anything, but there really isnt anything safe to take while breast feeding any way!
Try being more active during the day. Go for walks, jog, swim. True insomnia however, will have its way no matter how active you are...
Try taking Melatonin. This is the natural chemical in your brain that is released to stimulate sleep. You can buy it at pharmacies and health food stores. There are 2 kinds of pill forms; one you swallow with water, the other disolves under the tongue. Its not a sleeping pill. It just helps your brain to produce melatonin, SAFELY.
good Luck and get some peaceful sleep! :o)

Well, you can allways try the paradoxal theraphy cure for it ... Stay awake the whole night, and write down all the things you think about. Then you can see which of those things occupies your mind, and keeps it from falling asleep, and you can solve that problem.
In most cases insomnia is caused by the cortex, which sends signals down trought the Descendent Reticulate Formation, and basicaly increases his own excitement levels. No matter how tired you are, in that case you will no be able to fall asleep. The only way is to find what bothers you, what keeps your brain occupied, and remove it. Then just ensure yourself a relaxing, quiet, and dark enviroment, and sleep will come ...

Try exercising 3-4 hours before you plan to go to be. Stop drinking caffeine at least 6 hours before bed time, and try taking melatonin. Good luck.

Clap the balls of your feet together, it kinda hurts at first, but I've recommended it to someone else, and it worked.
