I'm the non religious brand and I say take the hard put literature for what it's worth and that means developing extremely good judgment and maybe even advancing into the future .
Interpreting the tainted book of the past takes a tremendous
maturity to glean forth it's true value as it was directed at barbarian illiterates and reflects that fact . Today we all have a much larger scope of knowledge at our disposal and there should be no excuse for catering to the now childish view of the past . Goodness will prevail over religion with or with out those who refuse to lend a note maturity to their view point .
peace out and happy holidays

The bible was most certainly written by man, the bible doesn't claim elsewise. The scripture (aka old testament) was all God breathed according to the bible and other non biblical sources comfirm the events that happen throughout the bible. As for the new testament, it was written by people that lived during the time of Jesus, so as far as a historian is concerened it is a primary source and there are enough primary sources that say the same thing that its not very likely that it was made up.

The Bible was written by man, inspired by God. Just as a secretary types a memo for her boss and sends it out on his behalf. The Bible, although written over the course of thousands of years, is in harmony. So it has to be God's will for it to have survived this long, because as we know, man cannot do anything in harmony with each other.
