You might have missed something.. tell me what you think.. if you read Gen 6:1 .. it says that "The LORD saw how great man's wickednesss on the earth had become, and that EVERY inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was GRIEVED that he had made man on the earth and his heart was filled with pain." ... Now we can both agree when someone murders someone ... what do they deserve??? But this situation in Gen 6 is much greater.. they must have been doing things 10x worse than simple killing someone .. every inclination of their hearts were on evil things.. Secondly God wasn't happy that he had to wipe mankind out.. he Grieved that he had made them.. Have you ever grieved or and a whole in your heart when you found out that the one you loved didn't love you.... what do you think?? curious..

Hay Jake... That a good question If you read your bible Rev. God is getting ready to do it again The world is so bad rite now and so full of sin its going to happen again, But when God does it this time he will destroy all EVIL and all sin, then sin and Evil will be no more I guess people think that GOD has no feelings but he does, Did you know He keeps every one of our tears that falls from eyes, DID you know every time you look up to heaven to he smiles People don't take time to know him HE loves all of us, Just because he killed people don't mean he didn't save them, Or some of them ,,,Very Good Question,,,

#1- The 'Great Flood' is not a Christian only thing. This disaster has been recorded by other groups that pre-date the OT Bible. The Isle of Malta still bears the scars of that disaster to this very day.

#2- 'Noah and the Ark' first began to appear halfway through Hebrew captivity in Persia. It follows a very similar story of the Marduk in Mesopotamian literature that was written 500 years before the Old testament.

#3- This 'story' is a way for ancient peoples to 'never forget', and it serves to explain things in the language of the day. To put into such a context demands it be remembered. This same ideology was perfect to remind people back then that pork cooked improperly could kill you. This might explain why the proscription is found in the religious texts......

No. In our "Sinful" human world, we know that its immoral to kill someone who doesn't love you. Those are the "morals" of a toddler. Why would I worship that?

When I grieve I don't commit genocide. I don't even kill a few babies.

No, I have grieved a lot , but I did not create those who cause me pain. Big difference.

I'm sure a lot of people don't love me. It doesn't make me want to drown them. If people believe that God deliberately drowned almost every living thing on the planet, then they believe in one incredibly immature and insane God.
