On the 1st of January next year until the 31st december 2013 the EU will have a seven year budget term, and a covernant with many. They will renew the old one, which the book of Daniel said that they will renew the covernant. If this is the seven years written in Daniel then the rapture is not too far away. Lets face it, Iran will have nuclear weapons by the year 2009 with the help on Russia, the EU has a dead line to finalize its military army by 2010, it looks suspicious to me. Skeptics say every generation thinks they they are the last one. Maybe, but Jesus would not come back to Israel unless Israel was a nation again, and that biblical prophecy was fullfield in 1948. Also the mark of the beast 666 can be reconized today in the EU. It has a vacant seat next to it, waiting to be filled. That was created in the year 2000. Things are getting close folks. Prophecy is in the making. Not long before the rapture, what do you christians think?

The time of the second coming is near. The rapture as you call it is when we meet him in the sky at his coming which is after the abomination of desolation.

Dear Leanne M,

While i do agree with you that looking at the world it may be soon until the time of Christ's return-- it is quite likely based on your question that we have differing end time positions.

The Seven years referred to in Daniel-- refers to a covenant that the Anti-Christ will come into as he comes upon the scene which he will violate in the middle -- with the abomination of desolation (where he demands to be worshipped as God). This does not occur until after the rapture-- because the time of the rule and reign of the Anti-Christ is a time of judgment upon the earth (hence the different bowl and seal judgments in the book of Revelation).

It is absolutely true that the techonolgy is in place for the mark of the beast and world systems to support the coming of the Anti-Christ. But in reference to Daniel i think that your interpretation of the covenant is off.

The Bible does teach us regardless of our end times position to watch and pray because no one knows the hour or the day. But every generation of believers from the time the Scriptures were written are to live in expectation of the Lord's return - 1 John tells us living in such a way keeps us pure and focused on the Lord.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

I think that just as it is stated in the New Testament, that no one knoweth the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven!
We have been warned for ages to be right with God & be sober & watchful!
No one can ever predict when the end will come!We have signs it is near, but it could happen today or a thousand years from now!
The bible also said that things will become much worse than we think they can become & woe to them that have children or babies they have to feed.
I just want a permenant roof over my head!I'm a survivor.I've eaten possum & raccoon & squirrel before!Just keep the snakes away from me until we are really hungry!

not sure about the rapture, the word doesn't actually appear in the bible, 666, www., every bar code. I think it is to easy to start dwelling on what is going to happen, is it making us productive Christians?

I'm not really concerned because I know God's got my back. The world is becoming more vile everyday. I think the sooner the Lord returns, the better.

So the rapture is coming? I see... just like it was supposed to come last time, or the time before that.

time will tell and I don't buy into it it's only a loose connection for trouble makers that are not ever content with a rational
and peaceful world ! even most educated Christians hate your view point.
peace out
